By public transport

By Rail (and then Taxi or Bus)

Yarnfield Park Training and Conference Centre is about ten miles from both Stafford and Stoke-On-Trent main line railways stations. Trains are frequent and both stations are on Inter City links between London and the North. You can check train times at the National Rail Enquiries website. (Remember that there are often engineering works on Sundays so don't just rely on the timetable!) Taxis can always be found outside Stafford and Stoke stations, and they take about thirty minutes to get to Yarnfield Park, but are very expensive. The bus services change frequently and sometimes do not run from Yarnfield on Sundays. You will need to plan carefully is you wish to travel by bus.

An alternative option is Stone station, which is under 3 miles from Yarnfield Park, and now has an hourly service on weekdays, as well as a Sunday service. If travelling via Stone on the Friday and Sunday, we run minibus/taxi shuttle - please see the FAQs for more details.

Note that Stone station is not wheelchair accessible from both platforms.

Cycling from Stone Station to Yarnfield (approx 3.5 miles)

From the station, proceed along the station approach road and bear right at the Talbot pub. At the next main junction bear right with the road into Margaret Street. At the T junction turn right, go over the canal and under the railway bridge, then turn first left.

At the end of this road is the A34. Cross it carefully and take the road opposite signposted to Yarnfield.

Continue along this road to Yarnfield village. Once in the village, turn right for the conference centre.

By Coach

Those needing a cheaper option may want to investigate travel by coach to Hanley Coach Station in Stoke-On-Trent. The X5 bus to Yarnfield calls there on the Friday, but does not run on Sundays so you would have to get a taxi.
